Milli ~ werewolf plot - notes
What: Van Helsing returns to the bar as an actual werewolf, in wolf shape, not able to speak like back on Halloween.
When: Friday, 4 March -- starting btwn 1800 and 2000 EST (just depends on when I can get on or wrangle a modem line from someone - Fri I work 'til 5pm)
Where:
milliways_bar ((duh))
How: ie: logistics...
First - gonna need somevictims volunteers victims... yeah, victims was actually the right word... and I'd like to have 'em all up-front so I know who's gonna be where b/c this is gonna be crazy enough and I'd like as much organization as I can get.
Here's what I'll need:
* 1 character who is responsible for injecting the antidote -
morgue_matron has volunteered for this. Thnx! :)
(the antidote will be attached to Beowulf's collar, there will also be additional in VH's bag, that Beowulf will drag through with him)
* 3 - 5 (possibly as many as 10) characters to be slightly injured
(small scratches, knocked down, pushed, non-fatal / non-hospitalizing wounds)
* 2 - 3 characters to be severely wounded
(gashes, unconsious w/ large scratches, bites - only if not mortal, broken bones, near fatal wounds)
* No more than 1 character to (possibly) be bitten -- that is, if there is a character who wishes to be turned into a werewolf - note: character must be mortal, human and alive
I have this plotted out pretty well b/c I don't want to have to be up until 5am working this. Most of the plot is going to take place w/in the 60 seconds while midnight strikes; there will be some things happening during the 14 minutes before that. (There's a large clock near where VH will be fighting before he comes through, so the strikes will be heard. More on this a bit farther down.)
What will happen: (plott-y-ness)
First note: any and all bar damage that is a direct result of something done by VH!wolf (someone thrown onto a table that collapses, bottles broken over VH!wolf's head, tail, whatever... etc) goes on VH's tab. VH is not responsible for bar damage as a result of anything else going on in the bar that night. ie: if it doesn't happen in the VH!wolf threads, it ain't his problem.
** NO damage is to be done to Bar herself during the altercation. ** ~this per Bernard-mun.
Second note: if your character is not part of the VH!wolf plot, please do not post in the VH!wolf threads, but feel free to have characters observe from their own threads and see what's going on.
Third note: the bar door is to remain OPEN for all VH!wolf plot threads (it can be closed in threads not related to VH!wolf) - it's KEY to how this plays out, so, please, anyone playing in the VH!wolf threads - DO NOT CLOSE THE DOOR. ((btw, if someone tries to be an asshat and close it just to 'complicate' things, I reserve the right to remove the post... ie: don't fuck up my plot for your fun, it won't make me happy and it'll slow things down - and I'm about as patient as a 2 y/o waiting for candy - draw your own conclusions))
The Plot Part:
VH will return to the bar about 15 minutes before midnight (*his* time - NOT bar time - this is VERY important), as a werewolf, in wolf form. The door will stay open - this is the connection back to VH's time and the moon there that controls his werewolf-y-ness.
** Aside to explain VH-style werewolf stuff - if the moon is visible - VH will be wolfy; if the moon is behind clouds, VH will be human-in-tattered-pants **
About the door: Closing the door won't 'fix' anything anyway, won't change anything, it'll only delay the inevitable... time doesn't move in VH's world when he's at Milliways, so closing the door will just make him stay in wolf form longer, thus causing more damage to the bar, which will piss off Bernard. However, there is no guarantee that closing the door won't complicate things further - like negate the cure (I'm not planning on this, but let's just not have to deal with it 'kay?) - which is why I don't want it to be closed - this plot's hard enough.
The Antidote: It must be injected before the 12th stroke of midnight (VH's time, NOT bar time). There will be a new thread for each stroke of midnight w/in the existing VH thread, so all involved will need to watch carefully. I'll try to leave an indicator in the previous thread that we've moved to the next one, but I can't guarantee that will happen. I *will* list which stroke of midnight we're on in the subject line of the new comment.
The Moon: There will be one point during the plot where the moon disappears and VH is human-in-tattered-pants and has about 30 - 45 seconds to give as much instruction as possible - the most he'll be able to say is 'Beowulf, antidote, midnight' before he roars back into VH!wolf again. Whomever the 'antidote weilder' (
morgue_matron ) is should be around for this revelation ((ah continuity!)).
The Solution: Just before the last stroke of midnight - near the end of the 11th stroke thread -
morgue_matron will inject VH!wolf with the antidote (Natalie will NOT die of smush) and he will change back into VH-in-tattered-pants and collapse to the floor.
The Aftermath: I have a feeling that once he's no longer VH!wolf, he'll be shoved into a cell until Security or Bernard deems it an acceptable time for release. -- Security ppl ping / grab me on this if clarification is needed.
