divinsanity - Lucifer's Backstory
Lucifer - backstory-simplified:
Lucifer is in love with Azazel - since before time began. The other Heavenly beings find this odd. But Lucifer does all those things that get him kicked out of Heaven. Azazel goes with. There's the fight, the temptation of Eve and all the other historical happenings - the flood, the birth of Christ, the Crucifixion, etc.
Throughout history, God tears Azazel and Lucifer apart, saying that they shouldn't be together, it's a bad influence, it'll make everyone want to do it. The angels are supposed to set a good example. Az and Luc really don't care - they just want to be together. So, finally, they just tell Michael - who's come to tear them apart yet one more time - "Look, just, take our wings, our power, whatever and leave us alone. If we have to choose between this angel gig and being together... we want to be together. Okay? That work for you?" (It's not quite exactly like this, they get to keep their wings, but that's the basic idea.)
Michael runs off to confer with God for a bit and comes back, waves a hand and the conditions are set for Luc and Az to live like 'normal folk'.
Conditions: They must hold jobs and pay rent and do everything like regular humans do. They've been set up to live at Olympian Meadows with other fallen beings. They retain a bit of power - Lucifer is quite influencial when he needs to be and Azazel [does his thing] - but, for the most part, they're normal.
Characteristics:
Appearance: 6'3", dark hair, hazel eyes, muscular build
Attitude: cocky, authoritative, and when he does speak, he's kind of loud
Occupation: Lawyer - he hates it - only does it to pay the bills, well, and because he loves to fuck with people; he's very good at his job, he just hates having to work for a living.
Hobbies: Azazel, anything that doesn't have to do with being an attorney; he's athletic, but has a taste for very good brandy; he also has quite an affinity for coffee - especially Italian coffee; he's actually rather snobbish about his coffee and wouldn't dare buy the stuff sold at street vendors.
